Products – Add variants

You can add a product and one or more variants at any time.

After logging into Designer, follow these steps:

1. Navigation

Click on the menu item «Store» at the left.

2. Product list

You will be taken immediately to the product list. Click the title or product name of the desired product.

3. Product variants

On the product details page that is now shown, scroll down to the «Product variants» section. Then click the «Add product variants» button.

4. Enter variants

Under «Option name», give a name to the variant («Colour», for example). 

Under «Choices», you can now enter the relevant variants. Enter a variant and then press «Enter». Once you have added all of the variants, click the «Save» button.

5. Add additional variants

You will now be returned to the overview page for the respective product. Under «Product variants», you will now see all of the variants you have just entered. Click the blue «Save» button here.

If you would like to add additional groups of variants, click the «Add/remove options & choices» button.

In the pop-up button that appears, click the «Add another option».

A warning appears. Click the «Add option» to confirm that you would like to add another option.

Now add the new option as described under point 4 (for example, size).

Once you have entered all options along with the relevant variants, click the «Save» button.

6. Edit variants

You will now be taken automatically to the overview page for the respective product. Click again on the blue «Save» button.

Under «Product variants», you will now see all of the variants and selection combinations you have entered. Price and weight are applied from the master product.

If you would like to change these for the specific variant, click the «Edit variants» button.

Change the values as desired and then click on the «Save» button.

7. Reorder the dropdown values

You will now be returned to the overview page for the respective product. Click again on the blue «Save» button.

Under «Product variants», you will now see all of the selection combinations you have modified.

If you would now like to change the order of the variants for the individual option, click the «Reorder dropdown values» button.

Drag and drop the desired variants to the new desired position and save the order by clicking the «Save» button.

Click the «Save» button to save all changes to the product page.

8. Preview

If you would now like to view the product and all of its variants as it will appear in your store, click on «Preview» at the top of the page.

You will now see a preview of your store with the product details view.

To return to the administration page, click «Edit» at the top of the page.
