Available mailboxes

Depending on the package chosen, the following number of mailboxes are available to you:

MailPro 1: 1 mailbox     •     MailPro 6: 6 mailboxes     •     MailPro 18: 18 mailboxes

Storage per mailbox

6 GB storage space per mailbox is available to you for your emails and attachments.

Unlimited email aliases

You can have an unlimited number of aliases for each email account. This means that you can create alternative email addresses. For example, if you created joan.example@yourdomain.com as your primary email address, you could also create je@yourdomain.com or joan@yourdomain.com. You would then receive all emails to your other addresses in your primary email address.

Maximum email size

The maximum email size including all attachments is 50 MB.

Installation free of charge

Installation and activation of MailPro is included in our offer. There are no extra charges for this service.

Contract period

The minimum contract period for MailPro is one year. It is automatically extended by one year should no cancellation be submitted within the prescribed notice period.

Archive function

MailPro provides you with a complete solution for storing emails. You can use the archive function to store and recover outgoing and internal emails.

Online storage

Whether it’s photos, videos or files, you can manage them all in MailPro. Upload, organise and share attachments, documents, music, photos, videos and more. Use MailPro as a central online storage service, giving you access to your data and emails from wherever you are.

IMAP via TLS (SSL)

If you want to use your email account on multiple devices, IMAP is the ideal solution. Whether on a smartphone, desktop computer or tablet, the same emails are always accessible. Data is transmitted in an encrypted form.

POP3 via TLS (SSL)

The POP3 protocol deletes emails from the MailPro server after downloading them. Data is transmitted in an encrypted form.

SMTP via TLS (SSL)

Communication from mail server to mail server uses the SMTP protocol, as does sending emails from a device to the MailPro mail server. Data is transmitted in an encrypted form.

A quick, attractive, powerful and intuitive user interface that can be operated using all browsers and device types.

Multilingual functionality

MailPro can speak your language: besides languages such as German, English, French and Italian that are very familiar here in Switzerland, MailPro is also at ease with languages like Spanish, Portuguese, Russian and Dutch. All languages have been implemented right down to the level of icons and buttons.

Automatic draft-saver

As you type an email, MailPro saves the draft at regular intervals. You can leave the email area at any time to finish and send the message later.

Auto-responder

Whether it’s company or public holidays, or other absences: let your customers know with an auto-reply email. You can of course also use Auto-responder not only to inform people about absences, but also for automatic-confirmation emails.

Forwarding

Do you want to forward your MailPro emails to a particular email address? No problem! You can quickly and easily set this up in the administration area.

Add attachments with drag & drop

Attach files from your desktop to your emails with a simple drag and drop.

Configurable spam filter

You can configure the spam filter in the administration area to defend yourself effectively against spam and emails carrying viruses.

Compatibility with email programs

Synchronise your email programs such as Microsoft Outlook, Mozilla Thunderbird or Apple Mail with your MailPro account.

Calendar and contact synchronisation with Outlook

Outlook 2010/2013 lets you easily synchronise with MailPro. Simply install the add-on for Outlook 2010/2013 and your calendar and contact data are always up-to-date.

1-touch configuration with iPhone & iPad

MailPro offers you a 1-touch configuration option for synchronising with your iPhone and iPad. To do so, open Safari on your iOS device, navigate to MailPro and enter your user name and password. With just another tap, the connection for synchronising your email, calendar and contacts is ready and saved.

Push function ActiveSync

Use the push function on your mobile devices to allow your emails and your contact and calendar changes to be transmitted automatically. Stay up-to-date at all times and locations.

Mobile web application

Use your mobile browser to access and manage emails, contacts and calendar entries. The mobile web version of MailPro enables you to access optimised mobile webmail from any location.

Global address books

Teamwork is made easier by global address books. All members have access to the global address book, ensuring that all important contacts are always just a click away.

Auto-completion of contacts

MailPro saves all email addresses from recipients and senders. When entering a recipient’s address in a new email, MailPro presents you with possible alternatives from which you can select the right one.

vCard support

Thanks to MailPro’s vCard support, you can share all your contact information. Export and import customer and contact information using electronic visiting cards. You can integrate all your customers into your address book with the click of a mouse and just as easily send vCards to all your colleagues.

Address book access with CardDAV

MailPro uses a CardDAV server that supports many types of devices and services. You can therefore import, synchronise and export all your contact data to all your devices (regardless of the manufacturer).

Calendar administration

MailPro offers you a comprehensive calendar area. You can use the MailPro webmail interface to create more than one calendar and share them with other users in your group. You can also use CalDAV to synchronise your personal calendar with devices and desktop applications.

Sharing calendars

You can use MailPro to create and share calendars, create and accept invitations (even externally, e.g. those created in Microsoft Outlook), and much more. You can also synchronise your calendar across all your devices.

iCal & iOS-ready

You can connect your Mac calendar with MailPro via the open standard CalDAV.

Individual black and white lists

You can use the black list to specify senders whose emails you always want to reject. On the other hand, you can use the white list to specify senders whose emails you always want to receive. These lists can be individually adjusted, expanded and managed in MailPro as you need.

SSL encryption

All MailPro emails are automatically sent and received using SSL encryption. Hoststar’s MailPro thus offers you a high standard of security for your business emails.

Automatic archiving

This MailPro feature helps you comply with legal retention requirements and archive your emails as needed.
